On the one hand, the agency with reference to two sources, Putin, does not want to angry Trump and understands that it may lose a chance to improve relations with Washington and the West, but his military goals have an advantage.

“Putin’s purpose is to fully capture Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, which Russia considers its own, and then negotiate a peace agreement,” – said one of the sources to the agency.

One source noted that the current negotiation process in which the Russian and Ukrainian sides met three times since May was the attempt of Moscow to convince Trump that Putin has not rejected peace, although negotiations were deprived of real content, except for discussing humanitarian exchange.

“Russia states that it is serious about reaching long -term peace during negotiations, but this process is complicated, since the positions of both parties are so different. Putin called the negotiations positive last week,” Reuters reminds.

One of the sources of the agency reported that Putin was personally concerned about the recent deterioration in US ties. “Putin still hopes that Russia will again be able to make it with America and trade with the West, and” it is concerned about “Trump’s annoyance,” said the unnamed agency.

But given the promotion of Russians on the battlefield and that Ukraine is under heavy military pressure, Putin does not think that now time to stop the war, said the source, adding that neither the Russians nor the army will understand if the ruler of the Russian Federation is now stopping.

The ruler of the Russian Federation values relations with Trump and does not want to angry, but “he simply has a major priority – Putin cannot afford to stop the war only because Trump wants it,” said the second Russian source.

Another source, familiar with the Kremlin’s opinion, has confirmed that Russia wants to capture all four regions of Ukraine and does not see logic in the war stop during a summer offensive.
