“On November 19, six U.S.-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles and on November 21, in the course of a combined missile attack, British-made Storm Shadow systems struck military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation in the Bryansk and Kursk regions,” he said in his video address.
According to him, after that the “regional conflict” in Ukraine acquired a “global character”.
Putin claims that there are no “casualties and serious damage” in the Bryansk region, and in the Kursk region there was an attack on the command post of the Russian troops – there are dead and wounded, but, according to him, “the command and operational staff were not injured.”
Bloomberg reported on November 20, citing a Western official familiar with the matter, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used British cruise missiles for the first time against military facilities on the territory of Russia.
According to the publication’s interlocutor, Great Britain approved the use of Storm Shadow missiles in response to Russia’s deployment of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine. At the same time, the British government did not officially announce such a move.
The publication Defense Express suggested that the strike could be aimed at an object in the Kursk region, where the command of the Russian army group in this region was located together with North Korean generals.
