Prosecutor’s Office: In Odesa, doctors gave two men false certificates for $21,000

In Odesa, doctors issued “false” certificates, due to which men of military age received a disability group.

Literally: “Two Odesa doctors – an official of a private medical center in the Kyiv district of Odesa and the head of a private dispensary organized a draft evasion scheme. They issued fictitious medical documents and contributed to the conscripts receiving disability groups.

According to the investigation, the doctors demanded and received USD 21,000 for “services” for the two men. The package included production of necessary medical documentation and influence on decision-making by authorized persons.”

Details: Doctors were informed of the suspicion of abuse of influence and bribery (Part 4 of Article 368-3, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They were arrested with an alternative bail of almost UAH 3 million each.
