Prosecutor’s office: as a result of Russian shelling of the Kherson region, one person died, four were injured

During the day of Sunday, October 19, one local resident was killed in the Kherson region as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation, the local prosecutor’s office reported.

“As of 18:00, it is known that one person died and four others were injured as a result of the Russian aggression,” the agency said.

In particular, according to the prosecutor’s office, two civilians were injured in Beryslav as a result of the explosion of a projectile dropped by the enemy from a drone.

“In Antonivka, around 5:30 p.m., a local resident blew himself up on a mini-pet. Medics are helping him,” the department said.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
