“Today, a video circulated on social networks where the odious Taras Shevchenko KNU professor voiced his opinion about Ukrainian women, which outraged society,” Lubinets said.
In addition, the ombudsman reminded that the professor was involved in a scandal about a year ago and their institution received a collective appeal from students about him. After Lubinets reacted, the university brought him to disciplinary responsibility and the professor was reprimanded.
“I am reacting to his statements for the second time — I wrote letters to the Ministry of Education and Culture for the purpose of state supervision (control) of the activities of the educational institution and to the university with the demand to conduct an official investigation. I also see the need to contact the Security Service of Ukraine. Unethical behavior has crossed the line, so it should be checked and Competent authorities should react properly!” – he summarized.
Context
In an interview with Oleksandr Shelest, Vasylenko suggested that at least 40,000 “men with money, hungry for women” could arrive in Ukraine as part of the peacekeeping mission.
In addition, in his opinion, foreign peacekeepers who “did not go through trials at the front, but were brought up on good European food” will be interested in “thousands of hungry Ukrainian women” who “did not have time to leave, or whose husbands were killed or maimed.”
