In the photo, you can see a 170-millimeter self-propelled artillery installation installed on a railway platform, which is non-standard for the Russian army. The system is known as the North Korean M1989 or M1978 Koksan.
The date and location of the shooting are unknown. Previously, the supply of North Korean artillery to Russia was not reported.
M1989 – own development of the DPRK. The installations are known for their low loading speed (one or two shots per minute) and firing range of 40 to 60 kilometers, depending on the type of projectile. The only recorded combat use of this weapon was during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, by Iran.
