Portugal does not rule out the deployment of its troops in Ukraine after the conclusion of the “peace agreement”

At a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv on Saturday, Portuguese Prime Minister Luiz Montenegro said that his country is ready to consider the possible deployment of its military personnel in Ukraine to comply with the future peace agreement between Kyiv and Moscow, when it is concluded.

Details: Montenegro said that on the issue of the deployment of troops in Ukraine, Portugal adheres to the EU’s common position: “We do not want to be here during the war, but in the coalition of the willing, Portugal participates and will participate in peacekeeping operations.”

What happened before:
