The former president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, said that he was again not allowed to go abroad on business trips. According to him, the politician was supposed to meet with the leader of the European People’s Party.
The People’s Deputy noted on his Facebook page that he was not released “on the instructions of the head of the presidential security service.”
“January 16 is a historic day for the entire Ukrainian state. 11 years ago in this hall, the collapse of democracy in Ukraine was put to the vote and voted by hands, which eventually led to the events of the Revolution of Dignity. Those who voted that day are still in this room. The Verkhovna Rada still did not succeed in expelling them from here. Poroshenko also accused individual deputies of trying to divert public attention “from their own corruption, greed and theft.”

On February 14, 2024, Poroshenko announced that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, did not sign the order on his business trip to participate in the Munich Conference, allegedly due to the warning of the head of the Ukrainian State Government Kyril Budanov about the existence of a threat to the life of the leader of the Eurosolidarity faction.
