Details: According to sources, the Volz’s team actively creates chats in Signal to discuss national security issues. Two of them stated that they participated or have information about at least 20 such chats. All four claim that sensitive information appeared in the discussions.

“This is a broader use of the application than it has been reported earlier, and it sheds new light on how often the Trump National Security Team uses Signal – a publicly available application for exchange of messages – in its work,” the newspaper writes.
“It was a common practice-to chat on any national security topic,” one of the sources said, adding that the groups were often included in the US government and high-ranking officials.
One of the interlocutors stated that the Volz “built the entire communication process of the National Security Council in Signal.”
RNB spokesman Brian Guz noted that Signal is allowed on government devices and that some institutions automatically install it on employees’ phones. He also stressed that officials used the application in both Baiden and Trump administrations.
“It is one of the approved methods of communication, but not the main and not even minor. It is one of the many allowed methods for non-creating materials, provided that the user ensures the storage of records. Any accusation for use to exchange secret information by 100% is not true.”
None of the four interlocutors of the publication confirmed whether any secret information was transmitted through Signal, but everyone stated that group chats contained confidential details of the national security system.
