“Polish participants of the action, which interfered with the movement of freight vehicles, completed the blocking of the checkpoint“ Dorogosk ”. The information was reported by representatives of the border guard of the Republic of Poland. Protesters stopped their actions at 22:30 in Kiev time, ”the message reads.
According to border guards, the design of trucks in both directions at the checkpoint “Yagodin – Dorogusk” was renewed in normal mode.
On May 13, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko met with the Attorney in Polish affairs in Ukraine Pyotrom Luchevich because of the situation at the border.
“The Ukrainian side has called for comprehensive measures to prevent the blocking of transport routes between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, which are vital to support the economy of our country and are of great humanitarian importance in the conditions of continuing Russian armed aggression,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Last year, there was a strike of farmers in Poland, declared by the Solidarity Trade Union. They blocked all border crossing points with Ukraine, as well as roads and highways in separate voivodes. In addition to the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine, the Polish protesters opposed the European agricultural policy, in particular, against the implementation of the Green Lada – a number of environmental and climatic requirements.
