In Kyiv, at the “Vydubychi” station, a teenager who was engaged in “zacheping” died, according to the message of the capital police.

“According to preliminary information, a 16-year-old boy climbed onto a train car of the city train and was electrocuted. The minor died from his injuries. The investigative and operative group of Holosiivskyi and the main police department and a forensic medical expert are working on the spot. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated,” law enforcement officers say.

In March 2025, the National Police of Ukraine announced that a new virus was spreading among children in our country dangerous game – “chapping”. This is a dangerous type of extreme riding on trains, trams or other transport, when a person clings to the outer parts of the cars or stands on the footboards.

According to law enforcement officers, since the beginning of the year, as of March 23, 8 cases of “zacheping” have been recorded in Ukraine, as a result of which 9 children were injured.

The police urged teenagers not to risk their lives for the sake of extreme videos, noting that tension, falling from a height or colliding with obstacles at speed leave almost no chance of survival.
