According to the Ministry of Health, now the medical examination will be coordinated by the primary care doctor (family doctor or therapist). It will conduct primary examinations, collect the necessary information and form e-referrals to the consultation of specialist physicians, as well as laboratory and instrumental studies.
All examinations will be free of charge from the family doctor – they are covered within the framework of the medical guarantee program. Data on medical examination will be stored in the electronic health care system (ESOO).
According to the examination, the family doctor concludes that there or no contraindications to participate in the adoption program. The list of diseases in which a person cannot be an adopter will be updated.
All candidates for adoptive parents, guardians, foster or patronage parents, mentors and all family members who will live with the child should be obtained.
As before, guardians/guardians, foster parents, foster parents, patronage caregivers, helpers of patronage caregivers and mentors should undergo such physical examination every year.
The innovation will come into force one month after the decision was published.
Currently medical findings to the candidates in the adopter released Only in paper form after the examination of five doctors and receiving a separate certificate from a psychiatrist and a narcologist.
In addition, the Cabinet offers to introduce electronic medical reports for candidates for adoption. The Government has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill, which provides for such changes to the Civil Procedure Code.
