“Lifting the flag of our country and reflecting on the values that it embodies, let us celebrate freedom, courage and sustainability that make our country majestic,” the message reads.
In the comments to the post, users noticed that one of the elements in the image – red and white stripes on both sides of the stars – resembles the flag of Russia.
It happened, because between the stripes left the gap that appears on a blue background part of the “Russian flag”. This can only be seen if you deliberately enlarge the image.
It should be noted that in previous years there were no such design elements on the flag on the Pentagon page (examples for 2023 and 2024).
