Why is it necessary to inform the PFU about a change in status “working” or “not working”
In case of employment or dismissal of a pensioner within 10 days should inform the Pension Fund authorities about this fact. The corresponding requirement is contained in Part 2 of Art. 16 of the Law of Ukraine on mandatory state pension insurance.
Non-notification or untimely notification of employment (or business registration) leads to illegal payments of pension funds, which are subject to mandatory return to the PFU authorities.
After notification of dismissal, pensioners acquire the right to allowances and promotions, which are provided only for non-working persons. For example, pensions are recalculated for non-working pensioners in connection with an increase in the subsistence minimum.
We draw the attention of pensioners who were registered for entrepreneurial activity, but for various reasons did not engage in it. Lack of income from entrepreneurial activity is not a reason to consider a pensioner as an unemployed person.
Until it is given information on the state registration of the termination of the entrepreneurial activity of the FOPthe person is considered a working pensioner.

How to notify the PFU about a change in status “working” or “not working”
Pensioners notify the PFU authorities about the date of employment, dismissal or termination of business registration only by submission of an application and documents certifying relevant information:
▪ an order or order on acceptance/dismissal from work;
▪ employment book with a record of employment/dismissal;
▪ civil law contract, etc.
The corresponding application can also be submitted online – through the portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or through the means of the Unified state portal of electronic services (Diya portal) using qualified electronic signature tools.
We will remind that in Ukraine pensioners can stop paying pensions for a number of reasons. For example, if the pension is assigned on the basis of documents containing incorrect information, in case of departure to a permanent place of residence abroad, or in case of non-receipt of pension through the post office for 6 consecutive months.
