As noted in the city council, during the meetings of the support teams, important issues regarding the need for infrastructural changes and the comfortable stay of students with special educational needs are discussed.
In addition, on the basis of brewery educational institutions, events are regularly held for children with disabilities and their parents, aimed at psychological support and cultural development.
For example, for children with special educational needs, the event “Psychological support for children with the help of specially trained dogs” was held in Brovary, where children and parents had the opportunity to receive support from specialists of the Central Dog Breeding Club of the NGO “Association for the Promotion of the Defense of Ukraine” K-9 Center 4.5.0 . This event is organized with the assistance of ALPS Resilience, which implements a project on psychosocial support for children in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions, with the support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine.
Various master classes are also held regularly. For example, children from the PLO, together with their parents, participated in the creation of the Vesnyana Bereginya doll. The master class was conducted by folk craftswoman Valentina Lesyk. Students, parents and teachers drew pictures with spoons, inspired by the works of Lina Kostenko.
These were not only creative events, but also a way for children and parents to learn through folk art to cope with stress and develop motor skills.
The participation of parents in such projects helps to create an atmosphere of support and cooperation in the educational process, the Brovary City Council notes
Also, on a regular basis, surveys are conducted among parents regarding the improvement of the educational space for children with special needs, which allows taking into account their wishes and needs.
