The basis of the national platform is made up of educational video materials published on YouTube and in the social networks of “Parenthood Path” (v Viber, Tik Tok, Instagram). Advice from experts on pregnancy planning, care (feeding, bathing, sleep) for the baby, child development and experts’ answers to current questions are collected here.
According to the UNICEF survey, about 67% of parents are in Ukraine do not have access to basic resources that help in raising children, and only 20% of Ukrainians attended at least one specialized course for parents.
“The government has approved the Strategy for ensuring the right of every child to grow up in a family environment. Within the framework of the implementation of one of its goals – increasing the ability of families to take care of children.
We are working on parenting support programs that will combine the best Ukrainian and international practices, form a common vision of how the state can support parents, develop their skills and competencies, so that every child grows up in a caring and safe family environment.” – explained Iryna Tulyakova, head of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Child Care.
