Up to 15 years in prison with the confiscation of property, three residents of Bukovina were sentenced to sabotage on the railway.

Details: Prosecutors proved that in September 2024 three young men aged 18 to 21, looking for easy earnings, agreed to set fire to relay cabinets on the railway. They received tasks through Telegram Bot, agreed with the so-called “employer” and acted according to his instructions.
The first arson was made by two brothers – they were pouring gasoline and setting fire to a relay cabinet at the railway station in Chernivtsi region.
The second arson was made for three, together with an 18-year-old acquaintance.
The loss of “Ukrzaliznytsya” reaches almost UAH 1 million. According to the court’s decision, this amount of the newlywed should be compensated.
All three intruders were assigned to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Prior to the entry into force, they will be in custody.
