Details: According to the PACE co -reporters on Ukraine, the rapid adoption of the law on the restoration of NABU and SAP’s independence “indicates that the President’s office and the Verkhovna Rada listened to the voice of the Ukrainian people.”

On July 31, the Council supported the Presidential Bill No. 13533 as a whole, designed to remedy the situation with the independence of NABU and SAP. Soon the document was signed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
It was also reported that the European Union does not have plans for freezing funding for Ukraine after the approval of the Law No. 13533.
