Ova: In Kharkiv region, the zone of mandatory evacuation of families with children is expanded – it applies to 40 settlements

The power of Kharkiv region expands the mandatory evacuation of families with children from Kupyansk district.

According to the press service of the regional military administration, the corresponding decision of the Defense Council of the region approved due to the exacerbation of the security situation in Kupyansk direction.

According to this decision, families with children will be forcibly evacuated from 27 settlements of Velikoburlutskaya, 6 – Vilkhvatskaya and 7 – Shevchenkivska territorial communities.

In total, they plan to take 601 children to safer places – 409 families.

In October 2024, a mandatory evacuation was announced in Kharkiv region for all residents of four Kupyansk region, including the city of Kupyansk. At that time, the chairman of the Oleg Oleg Synigubov informed that in the Kupyansky district from some settlements to the front line is only about 4 kilometers.

In June, the Kharkiv authorities announced the mandatory evacuation from seven settlements of Kupyansk district.

The city of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, however, according to local authorities, the situation is critical there. As reported by the head of Kupyansk MVA Andriy Besedin, as of September 18, 1740 locals remained in the community, 734 people in Kupyansk.

In September, there were reports that the forces of the Russian Federation were trying to penetrate sabotage groups of 2-5 people to the city, they are masked under civilians and use the terrain to avoid identification.

At the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russian force, Kupyansk was already occupied. But in September 2022, the city was liberated from Russian troops.
