According to the head of the Hungarian Defense Ministry, peace can only be achieved through diplomatic means. According to him, the intentions of the US to establish peace are being undermined by the leaders of the European Union, its states are trying to disrupt it and will do everything to keep the war going.
“Hungary continues to be on the side of peace,” he added.
The Minister of National Defense also noted that, according to his information, a thousand soldiers who do not return to the battlefield die every day on the Russian-Ukrainian front, a quarter of whom die in battle. Some roads are impassable, and the “collapse of Ukrainian agriculture”, which was previously demonized by the government, is also negatively affecting Hungarians, he added.
Salai-Bobrovnytskyi also stated that the Ukrainian army is 40 percent manned, and the Russian army is 70 percent manned, “from a military point of view, Ukraine has lost this war.”
What happened before:
- On November 28 in Moscow, during a meeting with the head of the Kremlin, Putin, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán advocated a quick end to the war in Ukraine. At the same time, he made it clear that he hoped for profitable and stable supplies of oil and gas.
