Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán accused Brussels of censorship due to EU sanctions against Russian propaganda, which were introduced and strengthened after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Source: as reported by “European Truth”, this is stated in the speech of the Hungarian Prime Minister, the video of which was published by Viktor Orabn on the X social network

Details: Orban stated that the European Union, namely the European Commission, decided not to allow any Russian sources of information into the territory of the EU.

“I mean, the situation today is this: when you watch television, listen to the radio, use the Internet, arguments, reports and analysis in support of the Ukrainian position are allowed in the European Union, and at the same time there is a regulation – a public regulation – that prohibits member states from reading Russian arguments that deny this Ukrainian point of view,” Viktor Orban complained.

He was indignant that the “other side”, that is, the Russian side, was not allowed to be shown at all.

“This is what we have come to today, when we think about Brussels and censorship – this is the current situation. We swallowed it. In fact, there were not even protests against it. We did not accept it consciously, but resigned ourselves to the fact that “that’s the way it is”. Although if you think about it, in a normal situation it shouldn’t be like that,” Orban said.

In the post, he noted that Europeans “have the right to listen to all arguments and draw their own conclusions.” “This is Brussels censorship, which is essentially Orwellian,” the Hungarian prime minister wrote.

We will remind you that the day before in EuroPravda, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga called Orban a threat to his own people and to Transcarpathian Hungarians.

Sybiga also explained his latest sharp statements against Hungary and assured that Ukraine is preparing for various scenarios after the Hungarian parliamentary elections, which are to be held in April.
