The first teaser of the new action thriller Killhouse, based on the real rescue operation of special forces of the Russian Armed Forces and 3 OSHB during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, has been published.
Director Lubomyr Levitskyi (Tunnel, Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors, We Were Recruits) presented a teaser of his new feature film. This time it is the action thriller Killhouse about the events of the full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine. The script of the film is based on a real rescue operation, which was carried out by a special unit of the GUR and 3 OSHB.
A famous American journalist finds himself in the center of a rescue operation, which is carried out by special forces together with the fighters of the famous Third Assault. They receive the task of rescuing a wounded couple, whose car came under enemy fire in the occupied territory. But the matter gets complicated when it turns out that another person’s life is at stake: their 14-year-old daughter, who was taken hostage. And the journalist becomes a full-fledged participant of the events from an outside observer. The Russians demand to exchange him for a girl. The operation gains worldwide publicity, and the US special services join it.
One of the roles in the film is performed by the New Zealand actor Henley Martin Hugh, known to Ukrainian viewers from Agnieszka Holland’s film The Price of Truth. Special forces were played by real Ukrainian soldiers and veterans.
The premiere of the film is scheduled for 2025.
With a soundtrack by Klavdia Petrivna. The first trailer for the Ukrainian New Year’s comedy Train was released on December 31
