Details
It is noted that the workers of “Tuzl estuaries” surveyed almost 40 km of sand.
Within the national park, they found one plot with a length of 200 m and a width of 30-70 cm with fuel oil in the form of small fractions of 3-4 mm. As it is noted, they were thrown ashore on January 26.
The selected samples were sent for research to a private professional laboratory in Odessa.
All fuel oil weighing up to 4 kg was collected from the spill. There is currently no fuel oil on the National Park, but scientists emphasize that there are no guarantees that later new fractures will not be thrown away by the sea.
Millions of small fractions are still drifting in the waters of the northwestern Black Sea. Resources are needed in order to quickly identify, collect and destroy this threat, and they simply do not have them in the National Park. Near the sea also ejected a rare bird in a fuel oil – a red -haired Gagar, which waves again brought into the sea,
Recall
On December 15, two Russian Volgoneft tankers were crashed near the Kerch Strait, causing a significant leakage of fuel oil. Ecologists estimate that the effects on the maritime ecosystem can be catastrophic and last decades.
Due to the spill of fuel oil from Russian tankers in the Kerch Strait, about 50,000 birds and more than 100 dolphins were killed. Experts estimate that a real number of dead dolphins can reach several thousand.
