The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the radar will be launched in January. In the first phase, this system will detect, locate and track objects approaching from the east. She will also be able to neutralize these drones.
Indicators of this system will be available in Bialystok, in the center of electronic monitoring of the border barrier with Belarus, as well as at border posts.
The new system was completely developed and manufactured by Polish enterprises.
Prehistory:
- In early December, Poland decided to extend the buffer zone on the border with Belarus until March 2026.
- They also wrote that the Polish army will help the operator of the national energy system to protect critical transformer stations by exchanging information and holding joint exercises. This happened after sabotage was committed on the railway.
