“This issue will be discussed at the meeting of the National Security Council on January 7,” he said, adding that he would offer a final position without going into details.
A senior NATO military official expressed cautious optimism last week about the continuation of the initiative. He said that 1.8 million artillery ammunition will be delivered this year, which is 43% of the total amount of ammunition delivered to Kyiv.
Earlier, the leader of the ANO party, the winner of this year’s elections, Andrey Babish promised cancel the “missile initiative”which helps supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition.
At the same time, he later softened his rhetoric regarding the initiative – in particular, he said that it should be dealt with at the NATO level.
We will remind, earlier during “Ramstein” the Czech Republic announcedthat the supply of 760,000 artillery shells has already been financed within the framework of the “Czech Initiative” for 2026.
