Ombudsman’s office received more than 11,000 Human Rights Breaches in March

In March 2025, 11 139 citizens’ appeals were received to the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights. This is almost two thousand more than in the same period last year.

Details: According to the Ombudsman, of the total number of appeals 209 were collective, and 10 930 were individual. Most citizens complained of civil rights violations – such appeals were recorded 8 492.

In the second place – social rights (854 appeals), then – economic (504 appeals), rights of children (323), personal rights (265) and freedom from discrimination (242 appeals).

“I will note that last year in March we received 9 256 appeals, which is 1 883 less than this year,” Lubinets said.
