The former commander of the 28th OMBr, Colonel Oleksiy Halabuda, became the new Chief of Staff of the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This was reported by Suspilne with reference to sources on Wednesday, October 23.
It was previously reported that Captain First Rank Roman Hladkyi, who became Chief of Staff of the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces in the summer, no longer holds this position.
A public source in the Unmanned Systems Forces said that Hladky was recently transferred from the SBS, but did not specify who became the new chief of staff.
Ukrainian Pravda, referring to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, also reported that Hladky was succeeded by the ex-commander of the 28th OMBr, Colonel Oleksiy Halabuda.
Oleksiy Halabuda is a colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a graduate of the Academy of Ground Forces. In 2015, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.
The appointment of Roman Hladky to the Force of Unmanned Systems — what is known
On August 30, the DeepState project reported that Captain First Rank Roman Hladky was appointed Chief of Staff of the Command of the Forces of Unmanned Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to analysts, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Vadym Sukharevskyi, was allegedly against this appointment, so internally “the work is disrupted, which creates certain obstacles.”
Previously, the mass media cited conflicting facts about the biography of Gladky, whose wife allegedly has Russian citizenship and lived in Crimea after 2014, and whose daughter, it is claimed, competed in swimming competitions under the flag of the aggressor country. However, there is no official confirmation of this information.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine call Hladky an officer with many years of service experience and appropriate military education.
In 2020-2023, he held the positions of Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Joint Forces Command and Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
