“Since the new year, our hospital has been working according to the rules of financing within the Medical Guarantee Program (MGP) and providing medical services to the population for a fee from legal entities and individuals. This is an important step towards a more transparent and efficient system of providing medical services,” says the posts
Among the main changes for patients, in particular, the contract envisages free medical services for the population: all medical services that are included in the contracted PMG packages will be provided to patients free of charge at the expense of the state budget if there is an electronic referral from the treating/family doctor.
Paid public health services will be provided by:
- for a fee from legal entities and individuals;
- without a doctor’s referral, except when referral is not required by law;
- under contracts with legal entities.
It is reported that the joining of NDSL “Okhmatdit” to the unified financing system of the National Health Service will allow the hospital to work according to transparent and identical rules for all medical institutions of the country, ensuring a clear understanding by patients of which medical services will be provided free of charge, and for which payment may be required.
It is noted that thanks to this step, the hospital will be able to use financial resources more efficiently, which will contribute to improving the quality and availability of medical services for children.

The government will allocate UAH 2.6 billion for the renovation of 15 medical institutions, including the restoration of “Okhmatdyt”. The “Affordable Medicines” program will receive a record 6.6 billion UAH and 30 new active substances.
