Officially. In Kiev banned the evacuation of private cars during air alarm

In Kiev, the evacuation of private cars was officially banned during air alarm, said Timur Tkachenko, the head of the city military administration.

“He gave an official order to stop temporary detention, that is, evacuation, private cars during air alarm. Finally, this issue was resolved not from voice, but in a normal manner, ”the local official said.

However, according to Tkachenko, there is an exception – the placement of private cars does not “significantly” interfere with the movement of rescue, special communal equipment, public transport, military equipment, ambulance machines.

In May 2023, the Kiev authorities changed the rules of work of land public transport during air alarm – since then it must bring passengers to the nearest shelter.

According to the decision of the local authorities, in the case of air alarm of KP “Kyivpastrans” and private companies providing passenger transportation services, they should stop near the nearest shelter for the population located on the route.
