Odesa is partially out of power due to an “equipment emergency” – the authorities

In Odesa at 1:06 p.m. on January 8, an “equipment emergency” occurred, as a result of which a part of the city was cut off, the Telegram channel of the Odesa authorities reported.

“Specialists are already working on the ground to eliminate the malfunction as soon as possible and restore the light,” the message says.

The company “Infoksvodokanal” informed about the complications related to the blackout.

“Due to the emergency shutdown of the power supply, there may be temporary interruptions in the water supply in the Primorsky District of Odessa and the “Blyzhni Mlyny” microdistrict. “Energy engineers are already working to restore the power supply, after which the water supply will stabilize,” the company says.

In December, Odesa and the region experienced a several-day blackout, which was the result of a combined Russian airstrike. The situation with energy supply was improved within a few weeks.

Russian troops again attacked Odesa region at night, the energy and transport infrastructure were under attack, said Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
