As it is noted, the country has recently allocated 700 million Norwegian crowns (about $ 62.9 million) on a multinational initiative for the purchase of drones for Ukraine, and the allocation of about $ 53.9 million is a supplement to that.
“In order to maintain Ukraine’s sustainability, it is very important that Norway and other countries continue and increase its support to Ukraine,” said Prime Minister Norway Jonas Gar Star.
He stressed that the scale of military and civilian needs in Ukraine is huge.
“Norway will contribute to the strengthening of the Ukrainian defense industry. By buying military equipment directly in Ukraine, we help to increase the production capacity of the country, which is an important component of our military support,” he said.
According to the Norwegian Prime Minister, the country will work with Norwegian companies on the development of Norwegian-Ukrainian partnerships for the purpose of exchange of technologies and experience.
He noted that the government has already allocated 500 million Norwegian crowns (about $ 44.9 million) in support of Danish-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of procurement of military equipment for Ukraine in the defense and industrial complex of Ukraine. And in the national budget for 2025, the Norwegian government has created a special scheme to reduce risks for Norwegian companies seeking to invest in Ukraine or export to Ukraine.
