“New Year’s miracle”: four children were returned from the occupied territories in Kherson region

Four children, two boys and two girls, aged 3 to 17, were returned from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine. The children and their loved ones are safe, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of OVA, said on December 31.

“A real New Year’s miracle!… Everyone experienced what no child should know – Russian terror, threats, interrogations of relatives. The main thing is that these horrors are behind us. And now the children and their loved ones are safe. They are provided with all necessary medical and psychological assistance,” the official said.

As Prokudin added, this became possible thanks to the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA and the work of the charity organization Save Ukraine.

Since the beginning of 2024, 246 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region.
