Netanyahu said any violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah would be met with a strong response. This is reported by The Times of Israel UNN.

Details

Speaking after a security cabinet meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed Israel’s readiness to act decisively if the terrorist organization tries to rearm or rebuild infrastructure near the border.

Netanyahu also presented a proposal for a ceasefire in Lebanon for approval by the full cabinet. He noted that the duration of this regime will depend on the situation in the region.

Reasons for the ceasefire

Netanyahu voiced three key motives for accepting the ceasefire agreement.

1. Focus on the Iranian threat. The Prime Minister refrained from giving details, but emphasized the strategic importance of this step.

2. Rest for the military and replenishment of weapons. According to him, there were delays in the supply of weapons, which will soon become the subject of public discussion.

3. Separation of the northern and southern fronts. This, according to Netanyahu, will allow Hamas to be isolated, which will contribute to pressure on the organization and facilitate the release of hostages.
