What preceded: Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that on January 23-24 in the UAE, the parties focused on discussing the parameters of ending the war.
He emphasized the importance of American monitoring of this process and compliance with security conditions.
Zelenskyi also noted that, provided the parties are ready to move forward, the next meeting could potentially take place next week.
Before the start of negotiations in the UAE, the press secretary of the ruler of the Russian Federation, Dmytro Peskov, said that the Kremlin insists on the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbas, because it seems to be an important condition for negotiations on the end of the war.
