What happened before:

  • On November 27, the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, reported that in the Zaporizhzhia region near Gulyaipol, one of the Ukrainian units uncoordinatedly withdrew from the occupied positions, the Russians took advantage of this and entered the flank of the Defense Forces. After the fighting, several Ukrainian soldiers are considered missing.
  • The military-analytical project DeepState reported that thanks to the successful actions of the military command of the Defense Forces, the enemy significantly slowed down the advance in the direction of Gulyaipol in Zaporozhye.
  • The resource also wrote that the occupying forces captured the village of Zeleniy Gai in the Zaporizhzhia region, and that the Russian invaders shot five members of the Defense Forces near the village.
