After Ukrainian naval drones hit two Russian helicopters over the Black Sea on the night of December 31, the occupiers’ flights over the water area decreased.

Direct speech: “Their number (helicopter sorties – ed.) has slightly decreased, but they (the Russians – ed.) are still forced to use helicopters for anti-drone combat, this is their main goal and main task.”
Details: The spokesman noted that the Russians have not completely abandoned the practice of helicopter patrols over the sea, because they have no other choice and no other way to “hunt” for Ukrainian naval drones.
Pletenchuk emphasized that Russians never understand a situation the first time and need a certain repetition of actions in order to draw appropriate conclusions.
According to the spokesman, despite the tendency to reduce the activity of Russian aviation over the Black Sea, its use remains a serious problem for the Defense Forces, as the occupiers actually control the airspace over Crimea and the sea.
