Details: Secretary -General stated that he understands the desire of the US administration in the United States to worry about its own interests, but at the same time calls for further military support of Ukraine.

Given the obvious unpreparedness of Russia to work on stopping fire, the Allies should be sure that Ukraine “has everything necessary to continue the struggle,” Rutte said.

Prehistory:

  • On Tuesday, July 1, the US media reported that the Pentagon had suspended the supply of some air defense missiles and other precision ammunition to Ukraine because of the fears that US weapons reserves have decreased too much.
  • The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented that they did not receive official reports on suspension or review of schedules of supply of agreed defense assistance.
  • The US State Department has denied its involvement in any decisions on military assistance to Ukraine.
  • On Friday, July 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, trying to convince the US leader to restore supply and sell more weapons to Ukraine.
