NATO fighter jets took off to intercept four Russian planes over the Baltic

Between November 10 and 16, fighter jets performing NATO air police duties in the Baltic States took off four times to detect and escort aircraft of the Russian Federation that violated flight rules.

Details: On November 10, NATO fighter jets took off to detect one Su-24 and one Su-33. They flew in international airspace without activated radar receivers, without flight plans, and did not maintain radio contact with the Regional Flight Control Center.

On November 11 and 13, NATO fighter jets took off to check an unknown object in the airspace of Lithuania, which was not detected.

On November 14, NATO air police fighters took off to identify one Su-24 and one Su-33. The planes flew in international airspace without activated radar receivers, without flight plans, and did not maintain radio communication with the Regional Flight Control Center.

Note that in recent weeks, Russian planes have been systematically violating the airspace of NATO countries. In particular, on Tuesday, October 28, a pair of Polish MiG-29 fighters intercepted a Russian Il-20 aircraft over the Baltic Sea.

On October 30, Polish MiG-29 fighters also intercepted a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
