NABU director reported problems with tracking financial flows of “defense”

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has faced persistent problems in tracking the movement of finances related to defense procurement.

Direct speech: “We are already seeing certain problems with the tracking of funds related precisely to defense purchases. These problems have existed for quite a long time – since February 2025 – immediately after we began to actively work in the direction of defense. We sent several requests one after another to the Financial Monitoring Service to obtain relevant data on the movement of funds and suspicious transactions.

Now we will send many more such requests. They will relate to individual figures – the “Karlsons”, “Sugarmen and other members of this criminal organization. (“Mindic case” – ed.)”.
