It is a criminal case where NABU detectives accuse the military of allegedly illegally privatizing land plots in the Sumy region. According to the Bureau, these lands were allegedly used by the National Agrarian Academy (NAAS), but in the absence of official documents at the academy, they became the property of ATO fighters. Mykola Solsky, ex-minister of agricultural policy, appears in the same case. According to the detectives, it was he, as a lawyer, who eight years ago helped the ATO fighters get these plots of land.
Despite the fact that the reasonable terms of the investigation of this case have already passed, and NABU is now continuing them through the court – the detectives plan to interrogate thousands of soldiers who received these lands. However, whether they did it is unknown.
“Premature and uncontrolled disclosure of information of a pre-trial investigation can not only affect its course, interfere with the completeness and objectivity of establishing the circumstances of a criminal offense, but also harm the interests of the victim, the suspect and other participants in the criminal proceedings. In view of the above, the provision of the requested information currently is not possible,” NABU reported, commenting on the questioning of the ATO officers.
The anti-corruption officers also refused to say whether they are going to interrogate all members of the anti-corruption service as part of the investigation. After all, it is obvious that most of them are currently fighting, and the interrogation of more than a thousand people can drag out the investigation for years.
Let’s add
The Supreme Court and experts ruled that the NABU’s accusations were false, because the mentioned land plots did not belong to the National Academy of Sciences, and therefore could have been privatized by the ATO military on legal grounds, according to the right granted to them by the state.
At the same time, the detectives tried to hide and cancel the examination ordered by NABU in this case. There is a possibility that she could testify to the innocence of Solsky and the ATO officers.
