Details: Musk, the world’s richest man and a close ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, is reported to have backed Germany’s far-right party last month ahead of elections scheduled for February and has repeatedly commented on British politics calling for Starmer’s resignation.
Musk has been weighing how he and his allies can destabilize the Labor government and has sought information on how to enlist the support of alternative British political movements to force a change of government, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment after hours.
“He believes that Western civilization itself is under threat,” the FT quotes one of the interlocutors as saying.
Musk previously blamed Starmer for what he said was his failure to prosecute gangs of men who raped young girls when he was attorney general from 2008 to 2013.
Prehistory:
- Musk recently held an online poll on whether the United States should “liberate the people of Britain from tyranny.”
- This post became a new attack by Musk after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the spread of lies and fakes, alluding to Musk.
