That preceded: On February 22, the British Agency Reuters reported with reference to three sources that US negotiators consider the disconnection of Ukraine from the satellite Internet System Starlink if Ukraine does not agree to their terms.
According to the agency, the continuation of Ukraine’s access to Starlink was raised in negotiations between US and Ukrainian officials after President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected the initial proposal of US Finance Minister Scott Bessent. This issue was again raised during a meeting between the US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Kit Kellog and Zelensky.
During the meeting, Ukraine was told that it would face the inevitable shutdown of the service if it did not sign a mineral agreement, Reuters reported a source.
