Are the disability status and MSEK certificate valid until the date of the next assessment?
Yes, the disability status is valid according to the current documents issued by the MSEK. Together with them, all rights, payments, benefits, social services and deferments remain valid.
If you have an indefinite status (that is, the disability is established for life).
In this case, there is no need to pass the assessment. All rights, documents, payments, benefits, social services and deferments remain valid. Re-evaluation is possible only at your request or by a court decision.
If the re-examination period falls on January-June 2025:
The re-examination period has been extended by 6 months from the start of the implementation of the daily functioning assessment, as well as the corresponding rights, benefits and guarantees. For example, if the re-examination was scheduled for 03/10/2025, the deadline for passing it is extended to 06/30/2025. To undergo a re-examination, it will be necessary to contact a specialized treating doctor, who will form a referral for evaluation. It will be conducted by expert teams according to the new rules.
If due to good reasons, you were unable to undergo a re-examination earlier during 2022-2024, guided by the relevant norm in the legislation:
Re-examination and evaluation will be required:
Men aged 25-60 with 2 or 3 group of disability – until November 1, 2025;
For all other patients – until April 1, 2026.
Exceptions — impossibility of re-examination due to the following reasons:
people are in the territories where hostilities are taking place or temporarily occupied territories,
patients with severe disorders of the body’s functions (they do not have a limb or any of the paired organs, cannot hear or see, have an oncological or mental illness),
active military personnel, police and SBU employees – for them, the disability status remains valid for the period of military service and within 60 calendar days from the date of discharge from military service.
If your documents are already in MSEK and the date of the meeting is set in 2025.
In this case, the case will be transferred to a designated health care facility, where expert teams will work. The hearing of the case will take place on the day previously appointed by the MSEK. At the same time, the new address where the evaluation will take place must be notified.
Will there be valid documents that determine the need for constant care for persons with 1 or 2 groups of disabilities?
If a temporary disability has been established (with an indication of the re-examination period) with a re-examination in 2025, then the issued MSEK documents are valid until passing the assessment. Accordingly, the same documents can be used to renew documents regarding deferment in the TCC and contracts for receiving compensation for care services provided.
