And one of the girls on the background of stress had heart problems, reported In Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
At home, 18-year-old Victoria (all names changed for safety) was at home. Her last school year has passed under the Russian anthem and propaganda. Teachers refused to even mention the Ukrainian language.
In the lessons, children were repeated that “Ukraine has left them” and now they have to “pay off the debt to the new homeland.”
18-year-old Marina, who lived under the occupation from the first days of a full-scale invasion, was also returned. Due to constant stress – explosions and fear of life – the girl has serious heart problems.
When the volunteers learned about the situation of Marina, they developed a safe route for Ukraine and provided support.
19-year-old Michael was in his homeland. He grew up without his parents, so he remained in the occupation. Most of the boyfriend’s friends were taken to the army. Because of this, his life has turned into constant hiding from mobilization to the enemy’s ranks.
Michael’s close girlfriend from the territory controlled by Ukraine handed him contacts of volunteers. Together with Cat Mickey, who became the only family for him, the guy managed to escape from the occupation.
Now young people restore documents, undergo medical examinations, receive psychological support and plan to join Ukrainian universities.
Recall that last week from the occupied territories turned 22 children and adolescents. They went through fear, pressure and humiliation.
