“According to the updated information, yesterday the invaders launched one missile and 43 air strikes, used two missiles and dropped 105 guided air bombs. In addition, 7,919 kamikaze drones were brought in to attack and 3,587 attacks were made on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including 94 from rocket salvo systems… Over the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces hit 10 personnel concentration areas and two enemy control points,” the message reads.
Half of the battles were recorded in two directions in Donetsk region and in the Gulyaipil direction in Zaporizhzhia.
“In the direction of Kostyantynivka, the enemy carried out 19 attacks in the areas of settlements of Kostyantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar and in the direction of Stepanivka, Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 26 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Zapovidne, Rodynske, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Filia and towards the settlement of Kucheriv Yar.
In the Gulyaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 34 attacks by Russians in the area of the settlement of Gulyaipole and in the direction of Olenokostiantynivka and Varvarivka,” the summary states.
Battles also continued in the South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Oleksandrivsk, Orihiv and Prydniprovsk directions.
The Russian army broke through to the north of the Pokrovsk city boundary and was able to gain a foothold there, the DeepState project reported on January 11. A “wedge” appeared on the map of hostilities in the direction of Rodinsky, which already extends beyond the city limits.
Pokrovsk – a city with a population of about 1,250 people (estimated by the local authorities at the end of October, before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation – more than 60,000) – is an important road and railway junction and was under threat of encirclement by Russian troops for most of the year.
