“The border settlements, in particular, Bila Bereza, Chernatske, Chuykivka, Malushyne, Brusky, Shalygine of the Sumy region suffer from artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation; Yasna Polyana, Arkhipivka, Logy of the Chernihiv region,” says the daily summary.
Almost a quarter of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 17 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Chervyn Liman, Novoeknomichne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, and in the direction of the settlements of Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. Six combat clashes are still ongoing,” the message stated.
Battles also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Kostiantynivsk, Oleksandrivsk, Gulyaipilsk and Orichivsk directions.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.
British intelligence has reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
