Last year, a poll by the Reagan Institute showed that the Russian war against Ukraine, in particular, considerations about its potential outcome, divided American public opinion.
Recently, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umyerov, and the US President’s Special Envoy, Steven Witkoff, held a meeting that was focused on promoting “a realistic and effective way to achieve a lasting and just peace in Ukraine.”
The previous such meeting between the USA and Ukraine took place on December 4 in Florida. The Ukrainian delegation was invited to this meeting after the American-Russian negotiations in Moscow on December 2, in order to provide detailed information about it.
