The company “Rossety” (“Russian Networks”) explained that the power supply was disrupted “as a result of an automatic shutdown at the 110 kV high-voltage substation.”
The administration of the Ramen city district reported that an electrical bus has burned down at the power supply center. Officials did not specify what caused the fire. Earlier on December 30, the mayor of Moscow Serhii Sobyanin reported on another series of drone attacks.
In social networks, local residents share footage of the city plunged into darkness. In local chat rooms, they write that there is no electricity in dozens of houses, street lights are de-energized, “Oberezhno, Moscow” reports.
The authorities promised the restoration of electricity supply by the end of the day, so far there are no reports of such restoration, although the day of December 31 has already arrived in Russia.
