Details: It is a urgent intervention of power for the period 1-10 of February 2025.
When asked who pays 3 million cubic meters of gas, he said that “the European commission is ready to be part of this grant pack that will be offered by the EU” if Transnistria agrees.
“If the left bank of the Dniester does not agree, it will have to return these 3 million cubic meters or pay for them,” he said.
It is noted that Tiraspol has previously invited this volume to maintain the system. If the gas is completely over, the air gets into the system and it may take several months.
He also informed that the European Union offers a grant of 30 million euros for gas purchases, electricity production for Moldova at an anti -crisis price and to ensure left shore consumption.
In addition, he said about the adoption of a comprehensive program for improving energy stability for the next two years, including reducing the tariff for electricity in Moldova.
The country’s prime minister stressed that the costs will be covered by the EU grant.
From January 1, 2025, due to the end of the transit contract, Gazprom stopped the supply of gas through Ukraine, referring to the unregulated debts of Moldovagaz. Gazprom estimated the debt of $ 709 million, does not recognize the Chisinau’s debt.
Due to the lack of Russian gas in Transnistria, the central heating and hot water supply of residential buildings were disconnected, fan switches of electricity occur, almost all industrial enterprises are stopped.
The power of the unrecognized Transnistria argues that the existing reserves of natural gas in the economical mode of consumption will be enough by the end of January.
Last week, the leader of the unrecognized republic Vadim Krasnoselsky flew to Moscow to negotiate gas, and then stated that the supply would soon be restored within the framework of “humanitarian assistance”.
