“As a confirmation of the constructive work of Ukraine and Poland on historical issues, we inform about the transfer of permission to the Polish side to carry out the exhumation works of the Polish servicemen buried in the territory of the former village in 1939. Zboyskaya (now within Lviv), ”the message reads.
The ICSC notes that Ukraine declares readiness to continue search and exhumation works within the framework of the activities of the Ukrainian-Polish Working Group on Historical Affairs.
The first step in this process was the successful carrying out of exhumation works in the territory of the former village of Puzhniki in Ternopil region. According to the ministry, it was also important to obtain a permit from the Polish side for Ukraine’s search and exhumation works in the village of Yurechkova (Poland). The Ukrainian side is counting on the beginning of such works in the next time.

Exhumation work in the Lennik Ladies of the Polish-Ukrainian group began on April 24 at the Old Cemetery, where the Poles were buried, which were killed on the night of February 12 to 13, 1945.
The exhumation work was observed by representatives of the Ukrainian Institute of the National Memory, the Interagency Commission. The Polish side brought the mobile laboratory for DNA examination found.
The work is fully funded from the budget of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
Previously, Polish researchers emphasized that about 80 people were killed on the night of February 12 to February 13, 1945, including children and women.
